The greatest human fear to date is the fear of the unknown. `

when you are expecting you truly have zero ideas on what to expect. each time it is different and each time your list of worries have grown. Not only that but new studies appear, and new fears arise.

How do you deal with this?

Here are a few SILLY suggestions that may bring a calm to your storm.

  • Stay ahead of the curve! Read up on pregnancy so that you aren't blindsided. Although each pregnancy is different especially for different people some similarities are shared in pregnancy books.

  • Follow doctors orders! Sometimes this may seem like a lot especially when they tell you to watch your diet or stay off of your feet but remember you are a vessel and the baby that you are carrying is extremely sensitive and receptive to everything that you are doing on the outside.

  • Make sure you get to all of your appointments! in the beginning, they are far and few in between but as you get closer to your due date and you are super exhausted they will get much closer. Make sure you go even if you don't feel like it.

  • If you are concerned, say something! No one knows what you are feeling! No one can read your mind. Just like "if you see something, say something" the same goes for how you are feeling! Speak up never assume that you know what's best.

  • Don't forget to BREATHE...

  • If the doctor PRISCRIBES it ... Do some RESEARCH, ask some QUESTIONS and voice all of your CONCERNS!

  • Wanting a SECOND opinion is ok. It is your right as a parent to do what is in the best interest of your child as well as yourself. Be PROACTIVE and PRODUCTIVE time is of the essence.

  • Keep TRACK of any changes that you are experiencing. When speaking with your doctor one of the first things that they will ask you about is the CHANGES that you are experiencing.

  • Share your worries and concerns with your family members! They can help put your anxieties to ease.

  • LASTLY...DONT WORRY TOO MUCH.
